As we are not able to accommodate a full field on Saturday’s at present, we have decided to postpone this weeks ANZAC Day Cup. This may be played on another date in the future. This Saturday 25 April’s event will instead be a Single Stableford event. As you would no doubt realise weekend tee times (especially Saturday) have become hard to get. We please ask:
In the interests of all members, especially for those who work 5 days per week and cannot play on weekdays, if you are able to play on days other than Saturday’s and Sunday’s we ask you consider playing these days and leave the Saturdays and Sunday’s to the players who cannot play on other days. We have a new competition running on Fridays to give more opportunities for competition golf.If you book a tee time and cannot make it, please ensure you give at least 24 hours notice. This will allow members on the Wait List to get plenty of notice for a game. We will start to apply penalties for missing your tee time or cancelling with less than 24 hours’ notice. If you are on the wait list, please keep an eye out for an email advising you have a tee spot. Also, you can check the members portal. You will also be restricted to a maximum number of booking at any one time in the system to 3. Therefore, in the 10 day period the timesheets are opened for, you can only be booked in to play 3 games in total.Pace of play is critical especially as we come into the shorter days of winter. Play ready golf (if you are ready to play then do so safely and without impacting on other golfers) and pay particular attention to:
Parking your buggy or cart on the exit side of the green,
Marking your card on the next tee while your playing partner is hitting, and
Being ready to hit by having your club selected and having your practice swing before it is your turn will all help.
We have changed to course set up to assist with pace of play. Playing in groups of 2 should only take 3 hours. Please respect your fellow golfers as delays will have a flow on effect right throughout the day.We thank you for your cooperation during this time and observance of the modified rules and playing conditions as well as all aspects of social distancing.
