PENRITH’S BEST CHASING STATE SENIOR TITLE

PENRITH’S BEST CHASING STATE SENIOR TITLE

Penrith Golf Club will boast its strongest representation yet in the NSW Senior Amateur Championship in Tamworth next week.

First time seniors Dale Turner and Jeff Gadd will be among the high-profile competitors for the championship, played over 54 holes at Tamworth Golf Club and Longyard Golf Club from next Tuesday.

Due to Major Pennant commitments on Sunday, Turner and Gadd will not be to make the trip in time to also contest the State Senior Foursomes Championship over 18 holes next Monday, but Penrith will be well representative by the pairings of John Bright and Graeme Howland and Denis Day and Danny Acret.

The 69-year-old Day, who has been in consistently good form and the 1-handicapper will be a strong candidate for the Over-65 title, in addition to the open championship.

Other upcoming events include the Penrith Open on Saturday 16 March 24 which is also the final round of the 2024 Top Gun with the final on Sunday 24 March 24.

Note course renovations are due to be completed Monday and Tuesday 25 and 26 March 24.
