The good news is Penrith Golf course will continue to operate into the foreseeable future.
Whilst it is very disappointing for both the club and the members but fully understandable, the Australian Government and NSW Government has had to instigate a closure of clubs, pubs, restaurants etc.
The course can only remain open under certain strict conditions.
The first being mandatory social distancing including only one person per cart and one set of clubs. If 2 people are seen in a cart there will be no hesitation in closing the course.
The second is complying with the states licencing laws and under no circumstances can alcohol be bought onto the course. Any person caught not complying with this will mean serious disciplinary action and closure of the course.
There will be members of the committee carrying out spot checks and the club will also be policing this very strictly.
Remember, this is our course for the enjoyment of everyone. We are all in this together.
Please respect these small and short term restrictions and we implore anyone to not spoil it for the majority.
