The 2022 Club Championships is now done and dusted. Congratulations to Blade Gadd on winning the Penrith Golf Club 2022 Club Championship. After starting the final round 3 shots behind the overnight leader Dale Hughes, Blade shot a round of 72 in ugly conditions to take this years title from brother and 2021 Club Champion Josh Gadd and Dale Hughes who both finished 2 shots adrift. Well done Blade on a terrific effort.
Thanks to the efforts of Justin our course superintendent, we were able to get the final round played after a deluge on Sunday morning which at one point the general consensus was we had no chance of playing. Also, a special thanks to the 15 players who contested the final round enabling the Championship to come to a conclusion. Conditions weren’t pretty and it was certainly testing material.
Saturday saw the conclusion of the graded championships and other championship events. Congratulations to our other major event winners with Xavier Button taking out the Junior Championship for the 2nd year running by 5 shots from runner up Ryder Jerzyna. And another back to back winner, Graeme Howland defended his 2021 Senior Champion title taking out this years event by 1 shot over Terry Saunders and Peter Morris. Congratulations to the following other major event winners:
A Reserve Champion – Brendon Kop

Well done and thank you for everyone who competed this year that was again marred by the weather and cut short by 1 round.
